I'm sure that was an attempt at humour but with the greatest of respect, cyclamens aren't sentient beings It was an attempt at humour but I love my plants beyond reason so pls respect the plants-flowers lovers too Too late - I've just murdered some carrots for my tea! PLEASE think very carefully about Duchess' future happiness. You have a firm and genuine offer from a very highly respected, specialist charity. We can - and we will - do the right thing for Duchess and give her the future she deserves. That is a cast iron guarantee Jo x

It really does seem to be a very difficult situation for you and your husband. If you do have to part with her, at least give her the best and let her go with Gap. It is. Because after 7 years she wouldn't be here anymore if he didn't have any feelings for her. So I'll pass him the message that GAP would be quite happy to have her and she would be treated as a queen. Surely a lot better at a SPCA centre that Lisa confirms they are just cold kennels (I suspected that, she would probably die in there, poor thing!). But as a previous owner of pets, I know that I never had one without knowing if I was able to keep them well, a reason why I never had one in the last years because of constant moves. That's something I need to make my husband understand because Duchess wellbeing has to come first. Thanks for your replies ladies and gentlemen

I'm going to lock this thread now as it is a highly emotive subject for those concerned with doing the right thing for Duchess and again a situation where feelings understandably will run high. The offer has been made to safe guard Duchess's welfare if need be and also a personal offer of help if you decide to keep her is being made by me so this thread no longer serves any other purpose
I will re itterate again.... My number is 07917422489 and I can be contacted 24/7 day and night. We have a foster place with warmth sofa and love ready and waiting. We can handle everything, transport at the drop of a hat. Duchess's needs are the most important thing to us and we dont care temprement, health etc its all irrelevant we will cherish her for the rest of her days.
Please do contact me to let me know of any decision even if its only for advice as I want this girl happy in her remaining days whether with you both or with us. That is a personal guarantee I will make to all three of you!
