Anybody got an estate that happily takes two large greyhounds in the boot space?
Our Skoda Fabia estate is brilliant for one, but not big enough for two big dogs. In the short term we're going to do one on back seat in a harness, one in boot, but in the longer term I'd like to buy a bigger estate.
Would like to know what estates other people have!

We have a Vauxhall Astra estate, which has fitted two dogs quite happily. Your post reminds me of the two greyhounds and a lurcher I saw the other day, all hopping quite happily into the back of a Nissan Micra!

we have the octavia VRS (hatchback - not the estate version) and our 2 greyhounds fit perfectly in there (although they are not large greyhounds). the octavia has the biggest boot i have seen on any car, i think if you needed the height (which is what we are lacking) the octavia estate could be worth looking into.
on a side note - its surprising how many skoda owning greyhound/lurcher lovers there are on here...

vovlo XC70 here and it fits 3 greys/lurchers, so certainly fits 2 very comfortably.

I've got a Mazda 6 estate and fits 2 greys (well 2 and a half as Loafie is the size of a shetland pony ), 3 lurchers and 4 whippets.

Eek - on a serious note, when we are ready to adopt - we have a Corsa and a Honda Accord - will we manage a hound, 2 small boys, OH and me in one car? Is this practical and/or safe? It's taken me ages to get OH to agree that getting a hound will compete our family - having to change cars would be a big set back

I once saw a greyhound in the boot of a Metro - head was over the back seat licking the back seat passenger - who looked unamused!
Both ours will fit in the Fabia boot for short journeys, but for longer ones (several hours) they need room to lie down.
I'd love a Volvo - boot looks huge, although so does car - am waiting to win the lottery.
What do people do to keep dogs in the back if they fold the rear seats down? I'm sure ours would try to help with the driving.
