Mary - thanks for your positive comment.Still thinking about you and Flash I'm still missing Tillie 1 year on - she was my 2nd heart dog. We're still arguing about Perry ,Chris insists he's mine but I really think he's decided he's"ours" from the way he behaves. If we're both walking (and I' m not that good at the moment cos of dodgy knee that has enough after being on feet for most of a full shift) I have Perry cos Kiz is Chris' hound..Otherwise he's happy as long as 1 of us is around. He will be getting his own named I' m home thread cos Chris got slightly confused.Sue (AW) rang to say we really needed to post.So it's in the process - bear with us - one reason is we wanted photos and we're both technophobes.Got new digital camera which is still confusing

I didn't realise that this section was here or I would have updated sooner, we adopted Moss from the Gap a year in October after losing our lurcher Leah suddenly, we contacted the Gap and Lisa was very helpful and sympathetic as we were grieving our loss, she suggested getting a boy to keep our staffie X old girl company as we were thinking about getting another girl, and then we had our check and Moss came along and the rest as you say is history, nothing but praise for the charity and yes I have noticed that the last post was 2012 so thaought it might be nice to have a more recent update.

We lost our Lurcher, Leo, a couple of years ago, and then his lifelong friend and playmate Herman the golden retriever passed away us a year later. We had a few months without a dog, and time slipped by fast. We made a decision to get a pair back in, and decided that we wanted lurchers, because Leo was one in a million and after we got him (from a rescue in Lincolnshire), he inspired many of my friends to rehome 'the bony dogs'. We are currently out in the sticks in Essex, which made home visits difficult, but Greyhound Gap were really accommodating, and were also really good in ensuring that dogs can be rehomed as pairs only if they work as pairs. We saw Jessie and Quentin and were pretty much sold on the spot. They are 100% part of the family now, after only a few days, thank you so much.
