If so this section is here for you to add your dog's story, how they came to Gap and how you found them. Was the adoption smooth, what problems did you have when you got your new dog home etc. This enables people considering offering one of our dogs a home to read from you, yourselves what they can expect from us as a rescue.

Hi
I adopted a beautiful Saluki / Lurcher, who was called Hugo, but is now called Ludo, and it was the best thing I have ever done. I have no lawn left and a few chewed shoes, but life is just never dull with this boy around. He is the love of my life, and when the cats go to catty heaven, I shall be looking for another one to join him.
The help I had from Lisa was brilliant! She gave me some really good tips and with a bit of training,Ludo has turned out to be the best behaved dog ever, apart from when he's chasing rabbits, when he goes totally deaf!
If you're thinking of having one of these hounds, you won't be disappointed, ever!
Thanks Lisa and Nettie for all your help.
Glynis

Jet has now arrived in her new forever home. As we have another Jet in residence she is now known as Emma. From day one {although still early days} she settled in as if she had been here all her life She is just so gorgeous. Emma saw a bunny on her very first walk with us very keen is the term I think we use. ;D Hopefully we will be able to put some pictures on of her and her buddies. Thank you to Sue and everybody at Greyhound Gap for bringing this skinny bundle of joy into our lives.

We adopted Goldie nearly 4 weeks ago from Greyhound Gap and the help and support received is second to none. Nicky (goldie's foster mum) has done a fantasic job with Golds and made sure that Golds was the right dog for us. Well, really that we were the right mum and dad for Goldie!!! You can trust Greyhound Gap to only let you adopt the right dog for you. The care and hard work put in by them is second to none. Thank you GG. Marion

Sorry, also forgot to add, that Goldie settled in immediately and was housetrained. I have had two greyhounds previously and found they too settled in without any trouble - greyhounds are really the most wonderful creatures - once you have one - you are hooked for life. Please take one home. M

Hi everyone This is Princess Peggy just letting you know that I am settling in well here at Hasslecastle - (the name speaks for itself). My new mummy is typing this for me and as the book THE IDIOTS GUIDE TO PC's was written for her I shall be very surprised if anyone gets the message at all. If by some sort of miracle you do then I will send you a full update on my arrival here and how I am coping with my new family. Oh must go mummys heading for the kitchen. If I put my sad face on I might get a treat. Byeeeeeeeeeee

;DHello everyone
This message is to let everyone know that baloo is settled into his new home from the minute he set foot in the front door.He has been a dream to have around and we would'nt be without him now.He likes to eat which we found out quite quickly and he also loves his toys, especially his big cuddly turtle which he snuggles upto at night. We would like to thank vicky and chris(baloo's foster mum and dad)for doing a fantastic job with him and supporting us.Lisa has been great aswell and we are both made up with baloo and glad we had a look on GG and spotted baloo. If anyone is thinking of adopting a greyhound we can honestly say these dogs have awful lives and when racing but come through it all and still love people, they make fantastic pets and show lots of love to their owners.

they make fantastic pets and show lots of love to their owners. Hi Fran & Jan. The above statement has nothing to do with the soppy owners that take them on and spoil them rotten does it?

Just had to tell everyone about our brilliant lad, Arnie who we've had for three weeks. He is the most affectionate lad we've ever known and all the family have fallen in love with him. He loves his walks, his mad sprints around what used to be a lawn and is winding up the local moggies on a daily basis. Massive thanks to Lisa & Trish for their unerring support, tips and advice.
