Looking for advice. New hound girl Willow was a stray so nothing is known about her. She is scared of everything and jumps at any sound or movement. She will not get in or out of the car and I have to lift her in but she doesn't object to that. She is fine once inside and sits looking out or lies down and sleeps. Not stressed by car starting up or driving. Took her to the vets yesterday and she has two more vet visits coming up. Normally I wouldn't take her in the car or pressure her to get in till she was less stressed by everything. However, if I only put her in the car for vet trips, she is not going to want to get in at all. Should I put her in the car daily and take her to the park or river bank for a walk in the hopes she will get better about it, or do I just leave it and only take her to the vets for now?

She is doing so well , i would pop her in the car and run her down to the park or river for a bit of fun and some treats.

Going on a trip in the car that has a positive outcome is surely going to help, I would think.
