Hi - has anyone ever felt their grey has suddenly aged? Not sure if it’s that or something else. Her coat looks shabby and she suddenly has dandruff plus she’s not as keen on her walks. Is this just part of normal ageing? Still eats very well but overall feels a bit slower. Probably just being overly anxious as usual but any thoughts are very welcome.

Hi - It's a tricky one to think about because all dogs age differently; genes, early life experiences etc. My thought is that a vet check might put your mind at rest if you continue to have nagging doubts about condition of coat etc.
My experience is that the second of my hounds slowed down at 9 to 10 years, was tired more quickly on walks, slept more in the day, not stirring to investigate noises, playing with toys less etc. He has had a few medical issues over the years and now takes medication daily and I suspect this may affect his appetite some days, when he eats less. Again, I stress that this is my experience and all dogs are different. Good luck with your hound.
