My dog almost certainly has corns but my vet can't detect them. He walks well on soft surfaces but is totally lame on hard or rough surfaces.
Like so many others I have read about, X-rays and MRI have failed to identify anything but a small amount of arthritis for which we give him metacam.
I have requested the information from the association of greyhound vets and the RGT but had no response.
Can anyone recommend me a vet with greyhound knowledge in the Nottingham or East Midlands area?

Hi, we've had quite a few greyhounds with corns, they are an absolute nightmare. We've took the plunge, we are in Dronfield between Sheffield and Chesterfield and last Saturday made our first visit to Daniel Doherty who is in Uxbridge nr London. No idea what he uses but has a high success rate in getting rid of corns and them not coming back. It's a 6 hour round trip for us, 3 consecutive weeks, £38.50 per visit but if it works well worth it. Our little Annie has had surgery twice, also CT and MRI scans as we thought it might be something else but nothing showed up. If you are on Facebook, there is a page "Greyhounds with Corns". Lots of various stuff people have used on there but I have given up hope after trying to many different things, Daniel is our last hope!

My dogs are with Pride on Prude Park who've always been very greyhound savvy. I've heard The Vet in Wollaton is good too and cheaper (from the lady who did our home CHECK recently) but haven't been myself yet.

Buckley House vets in Hucknall are apparently greyhound savvy - I think the vet is called Miriam. The Nottingham RGT people work there as nurses. Hope that info is still current.
