I would have thought some fleece all round the collar might help - you are already using a harness, which is what I would have suggested!

Thanks. That's why I find it so odd, we've been using the harness for over 2 months now and her collar is pretty loose. It's a martingale one and much wider actually than the strip of dark skin on her neck. Freaks me out a bit :S
