Just wondering if anyone had tried the dog desensitising cd's and what success they had. Our foster girl Lisa is very noise sensitive and we often have bird scarers or shooting locally which make her shake, so I wondered whether it was worth getting a cd to get her more used to the noises.

We've tried 2 with Maddie but unfortunately she can differentiate between noise inside and real bangs outside so she just snoozes through it On NY Eve I put the London fireworks display on the TV really loud so it drowns out the real ones and she's not bothered wish I could do the same the rest of the year. It's certainly the right time to start it and see if it helps her. Fingers crossed she's not as smart as Maddie

Thanks Vicky. Trouble is Lisa is frightened of so many things both inside (drawer closing, door shutting) and outside but funnily enough not wagons and tractors passing close on walks, which many of the kennel dogs are terrified of.
