I think on the whole they would prefer your bed and your sofa! They do like to know where their people are!

"Where does your grey sleep?" Anywhere ! Trace can fall asleep on the pavement if you stop to chat for too long !
In the house we have two greys (Tracy and Paddy), three beds in the lounge (one by the patio door for the lunch time sun) one bed in a downstairs bedroom (nice an quiet) and two beds upstairs in our bedroom, Trace sleeps upstairs with us and paddy has the lounge at night, I "think" our hounds might be spoilt ?

Merlin sleeps sometimes on a dog bed under the large table in the front room, or he has a bed on the floor of the very small back bedroom, sometimes he sleeps on a dog bed in my bedroom and other times on one of the two sofas in the front room. Menta sleeps on vet beds in the front room, Mickey has his own full size human single bed alongside my double bed but lately he wants to be with me so he is either on the large sofa or cuddles up alongside me when I am in bed, then sometimes I find him stretched out on my bed. Kelly is either in the front room on one of the sofas or vet beds on the floor, then provided Merlin allows her she sleeps on the dog bed in my bedroom. Merlin being the eldest (12 in May) is also boss dog so Kelly moves when he tells her to move.

Anywhere. Bod sleeps on the bed snuggled up to me but if he gets down Gracie usually takes his place. There are baskets and beds in every room and they're welcome on all the beds and sofas. Maddie usually comes up to bed but is often on the sofa when I get up. There's a fair amount of bed swapping goes on.
I like them in the bedroom, that way I can hear if there's something wrong or they need to go out.

Guinness sleeps downstairs on the sofa. Our stairs are very steep with a tiny turning circle at the bottom so I am worried about him injuring himself. He has come upstairs twice and had to be carried down both times!

Moss sleeps IN bed with us, Skye the staffie has the run of the house and moves from one seat to another, the cat goes out most of the night and then sleeps on my dressing gown at the bottom of the bed.

Brooke sleeps in my bed with me, tucked under the covers and snuggled up to me - but I do often have up to 4 cats in bed with us too - not that any of my animals are spoilt of course - if the donkey could I'm sure she would be in bed with us too! Downstairs Brooke has a memory foam mattress bed and a bean bag and the sofa if she wants it.

Down stairs in the living room, they have the dog beds, sofa or armchair to choose from. When we adopted Perry,he took 1 look at the stairs and decided not for him (and nowhere as steep as Kay's stairs).Little Jem has no problem with stairs and slept upstairs at her foster mum's.I was hopeful of having a suggly dog with me again (too many years since that happened) - but from her 1st night here, she decided to sleep downstairs with Perry. And once Madam makes her mind up it's difficult to change it!Cath
