Hi everyone, I have two adopted ex-racers, one is a nearly 10 y.o. female, the other is a four y.o. old male. We adopted the male about a year ago after having the female for about three years. The issue we have is that the male continuously "bulldozes" the female. By that I mean if she is standing there, he will basically plow through her to pass, rather than walking around her. He seems like a totally blissfully aware, bumbling boy rather than aggressive. He is very sweet natured, and I've never heard him bark or growl, even if the female accidentally trods on him. She is constantly barking and growling at him because he doesn't seem to understand that trodding on her, laying on her, and plowing through her is unacceptable behaviour. We have tried to change his behaviour by making him second - ie, she goes through a door first and he follows, she eats first, she is on the furniture when he isn't...but nothing's working. Last night, she was jumping off the bed and had her front paws on the ground and her two back paws on the bed, and he barrelled right through her and knocked the wind out of her. When she barks or growls at him, he seems oblivious. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Sounds like it might be a vet check on his eye sight is required. It could be that he has a sight problem from what you have said.
My elderly lad Merlin ( Greyhound) who is 11 & 1/2 does growl if any of my other three Sighthounds get too close to him. One of mine Menta (ex-Spanish Hunter's Wired Haired Ibizan Hound who is 11 in January 2016) is blind so she does not realise that she may crash into Merlin, Merlin growls just to let her know that he is there as she being blind needs to use her ears and nose. Merlin considers Mickey-Finn and Kelly, both of who will be 9 at the beginning of 2016, as teenage louts.

I too would have his eyesight checked - he may have something like luxating lens, meaning that he sets off on target but goes off course because the lens move. Conversely he could just be bullying her .... but there could be numerous reasons why he does it so a vet check is important.
