As previously posted my newly adopted grey is very alert. I'm looking for dogs to introduce her to with owners that understand greys! Is anyone able to help or know of anyone/groups/walks that can help?
Thanks.

Where in the Midlands are you? We have a group in Sheffield which meets monthly , but small groups of us get together at other times.

Thanks Kamkay, and for replying on my other threads. I'm near Wolverhampton way, so unfortunately Sheffield is too far. Maybe I ought to start a new thread asking if people want to start a grouo near me

Julie Sadler runs a socialisation/training group for hounds I believe in the Birmingham area, I think maybe via Perry Barr RGT or she would be able to point you in the right direction anyway. It may be worth dropping her a private message, her username is "julies"

Greysrus
I'm in Cannock so quite close to you. I have a large ageing lurcher who is pretty bombproof although too old for zooming around! Your welcome to met up though. Cannock Chase is lovely.

Don't know if you use Facebook but that's where our Sheffield Sighthound group started - a lady with a lurcher wanted other hounds to walk with, created a group on Facebook and now a year later we still meet monthly and regularly have 40+ hounds for an on-lead walk, and sub groups who meet in between, e.g. Puppies, off leaders, etc. Definitely worth a try! Also if you're on Twitter I believe there is a regular hound "tweet up" on Cannock Chase, but I'd have to have a dig for the details as its too far for us to ever have actually gone. I'll look in to it if you want though

Gnasherboy - thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it. Though I'm not sure if the Chase is the best place, she seems to be better street/town walking as there are fewer squirrels, ha ha!! Lucy - good idea, maybe I'll start my own group. Daft question but do you know how I could advertise it to people to join? And yes can you find out the details of the twitter group, I'm not on Twitter. Thanks

There is now a monthly greyhound walk in Burton on Trent. I think it is on Facebook. Bit nearer than Sheffield if all else fails.

The Cannock Chase tweet up group is every second Sunday of he month at 10.45, next is Nov 8th but may be 11.45 as there's a gun salute happening at 11 that day. They have a Facebook group as well as Twitter, here's the link www.facebook.com/events/486205921503977/ it's called Cannock Chase Tweet Up if you want to search for it, they're a really welcoming bunch (at least in my experience online ) As for starting your own group, create it and then share the link in lots of general hound groups, I'm sure people will join!

Hi
Check out when Hall Green RGT and Perry Barr RGT do their walks - they are usually over by Junc 3 of the M5 at the Waseleys so easy to get to from Wolverhampton...my class is only a little further on round the M42.
