Angell petco salmon and potato kibble for one, another has Barking heads grain free kibble or Lilys kitchen, and always have something added like chicken, fish, lilys kitchen tins, Greenwoods trays etc. and water added just before giving them it mixed into the wet to make a sort of gravy and spread it through. Any suitable left overs from our food like mash, veggies yorkshire pudds but nothing with onions or spicy food.

My hounds have Burns lamb and brown rice kibble mixed with Forthglade wet food for breakfast with a couple of tablespoons of natural yoghurt added , plus sardines added twice a week .
For dinner they have Natures Menu raw complete meals plus chicken wings and raw meaty bones ,turkey necks, pork ribs , lamb breast , duck wings etc , whatever I can get .
They love their raw food and it really suits them .

My two Wainwrights - one has turkey and rice and the other salmon and potato with varied extras sardines etc and from our meals as mentioned before (no onions, spices or salty.) It's all down to what suits your dog and what you can afford but do your research into the actual ingredients in kibble. dogfooddirectory.com can help but I think the website is currently being up-dated.

Currently my 3 are on lukullus beef & trout which they all love, had Skinner's salmon with rice & Autarky salmon before which they did well on. Occasionally have some extras too but are quite happy to eat the kibble with a bit of water (seem to choke on it otherwise). This site is really helpful to make sense of the ingrediants label and gives you idea of cost per day to compare properly what will suit your budget. www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/

Mine are on Burns Pork & Potato (so are several others I know) and it is supplemented with sardines in tomato, bit of Natures Menu mixer, fish oil capsule, occasional eggs, and cooked veg (whatever we're having) or raw grated carrot. I do have to feed extra to the Burns recommended feeding allowance as they lose too much weight on that. That's why I add a bit of mixer.
Gizzi was always very itchy when we got her, but once I got rid of the wheat, rice, etc. from her diet she was fine. So sometimes rice isn't OK for greys. People on here have said that they feed boiled potato and white fish if they are ill - not the usual chicken and rice. Worth bearing in mind. But whatever - keep the protein level at about 20% - or less if you can - Burns is about 18%.

Naturediet Chicken and Rice, ForthGlade Chicken with Tripe, and lately Berriewoods Turkey with rice. This latter each of my four hounds are having a carton each for breakfast and a carton each for their evening meal. I also leave a bucket of Gluten free Chicken and Rice Kibble down alongside their water bowl in case they want a snack. My four weigh in at 35 kilos Merlin, 30 kilos Menta, 36 kilos Mickey-Finn and 38 kilos Kelly.

Another fan of Burns here but I alternate with James Wellbeloved lamb & rice too. I find both makes are really good and keep my lot healthy but they're not that cheap and since we just went up to three dogs I'm finding my food bills have gone up a bit too!
Sian.

The Skinner's duck & rice hypoallergenic is fairly similar ingredients to the Burns version, they do other meats too but Lamb & rice isn't in the working class with a VAT saving (Its just a normal maintenance food not high energy). www.skinnerspetfoods.co.uk/store/working-dogs/duck-rice/ If dogs like salmon (chicken version not as good) & can cope with bit of prairie meal (maize gluten) the Autarky is a reasonable £16 per month per 27kg grey, had 6 dogs on it here & all seemed to tolerate it well. The lukullus I feed was about £23 per month per dog. www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk/det/3792/Autarky-Adult-Salmon-Rice-15Kg/

We tired the Autarky adult but it does not suit our little girl so we went back to the Natural Pet Food Company in Brombourgh - Wirral. It is around £17.00 per month per dog. In addition I add cooked lambs heart; minced beef (human grade), Sardines, left over veg, scrambled eggs, brown rice, cooked chicken portions boiled and stripped off the bones; lambs liver, beef liver and bits of left over Sunday roast. Ruined aren't they. Oh and Natures diet various varieties. They get more attention to their diet than we do.
