Every good thought for Erin, really hope the meds help her. I'd never heard of this until Juno got it and hoped I would never hear of it again

Thanks everyone. She's changing daily, to be honest, and not improving sadly She started on the high dose meds yesterday so we're keeping everything crossed, but to be honest I'm prepared for the worst. Sorry I wasn't able to chat to you when Fran phoned, Sue. I would have been in bits...... It really helps, having the amazing gap family behind us, so big hugs to all of you. Hope we are able to give this horrible condition the big two fingers

Erin has been back to Leahurst today for a check up. Over the last few weeks things have gradually improved and the neurologist was really pleased with her progress today... Yay!!! Her knuckling has improved and she has return of righting reflexes in her front leg. Her back legs still don't right themselves but sensation is returning. She's playing with patsy again and walking really well, managing up and down stairs, and actually had a proper offlead run on the way home today. Her incontinence seems to also have resolved and her eyesight is apparently a little better too. She's still on the high dose meds and we're waiting on blood results to see if her parasite levels have reduced.... Fingers crossed x

We've contacted Leahurst today, and are waiting for Erin's neurologist to phone is back, as her incontinence is worsening sadly (she's gone from the occasional accident to several big wees each day). The nappy we got doesn't go anywhere near containing the amount she's weeing, and she's certainly not aware when she wees or when she needs to wee, so her once impeccable routines are all to pot We're getting a bit concerned about keeping her hydrated as she's not really drinking a lot, compared to the volumes she's weeing. Thank goodness for washing machines and dryers (y) Other than that, her neosporosis symptons seem to have improved dramatically Thanks everyone for your good thoughts

We're going to ask about meds when Leahurst get back to us. Poor girlie can't continue like this.... She's had her 4 th accident this afternoon.... It's constant now Hopefully it's not related to the neosporosis, just an added blip. X
