Evening everyone, just a question on "raised beds"...good or bad? sasika is quiet, chilled and sleeps well when on the sofa or our bed! (Both raised) and I see they sell raised beds for dogs, so we are wondering if this would settle her more and keep her on her own bed. do any of you use them/had experience with them? if so, suggestions where to buy/size would be helpful. thanks again.

I thought about raised beds for a while but in the end realised that no bed will be as desired as ours or the sofa. I think it has more to do with where we, their family sit/lie!!!! They look fab though but I opted for zippys to keep clean easily and as we have wooden floors I thought the gap underneath would just provide yet another space for Tabsi's hair to gather in balls and annoy me by seeing it every time I sat down

All mine except Mickey sleep on dog cushions on the floor unless they are on the sofas. Mickey because he has loose hips and arthritis in both right legs has his own full size human single bed which he sleeps most of the time on. Merlin sometimes comes for a cuddle on my bed when I am in it. He use to come a lot more when we had Missy as both would cuddle together on my bed during the daytime, until I went to bed. They use to share my double bed with me but after a while decided the sofas were better.

Are they easy to clean ? Was unsure about sizes as well, I have a 30kg greyhound and 24kg lurcher I was thinking large ? Thank you

They love their zippys, they come with a 4-5" pad in the bottom plus mine have duvet folded as well. They like the "walls" around them keeping draughts out and they are super easy to dust off, I haven't had need to wash them yet as they wipe off like a dream. I think I got two xtra large but Tabsi is swamped in hers its that but on her although noel who's about 28 kg can spread right out in his They look tidy the same size tho lol

I love zippys. Brilliant beds Same here. Lovely pad on the base and then I put 2 quilts to snuggle into. Haven't had to wash either yet, just shake upside down and quick wipe down. Perfect.

Not sure I'd fit an extra large one in my gaff lol, my greyhound does like to lay out but my lurcher likes to be under something, usually my duvet. Those cat igloo's would be ideal for her but never seen any in hound size !

There is a sort of pita bread shaped bed that some whippet owners have with a comfy base and a hood that they snuggle inside of. I'm not sure what they are called, I think Moira might have used one. Someone posted a picture of theirs I think it might have been Moira. Don't know what sizes they are or what they are called which I know is really helpful of me lol!!

Zooplus used to do an igloo style bed for wuffers. Maybe worth checking that out.

I have 2 large raised beds and they are very popular with my dogs. I put a piece of vet bed on top for warmth and easy washing. They are absolutely fabulous for taking on holiday, that's why I bought them as they pack into a bag. They were expensive but they still look new after several years of daily use.
