Hi, My ex-racer Howard (9years old) has a strange turn every so often. While lying down he will jump up and stumble around and be a bit weak on his legs. He also seems to be a bit spaced out. After about a minute he instantly comes round and is fine again. Any ideas what it could be. It seems to happen every couple of months but has happened 3 times in the last week. Thanks for reading Cheers Toby

Hi, not really had any experience of this, I'm thinking it could be a mild form of fitting ?. Hopefully someone else will be along to help. I'd really want the vet to him if these episodes are occurring more frequently.

I'd agree with Jacqui, a mild form of epilepsy? If possible I'd try to video it on your phone so you can show it to the vet, it will help them enormously. Definitely need to see the vet especially given the increase in them.
Hope he's ok.

I agree with the others take a video when it happens and take him to the vet.
One of mine did something similar a few years ago - the vet found nothing wrong. They eventually stopped and he is still going strong.
Hope it's nothing serious. Hugs to you and Howard.
