Jenjanjo that is exactly what gromit does! Have you ha any success with that method? We have been working with it since about October, and yes, we are seeing big improvements! Not always easy to change direction etc, but I sometimes move to the other side of my OH and other dog, so Maddy isn't having to walk close to the other dog. Some may think this is not the way to handle it, but I feel she is starting to trust me, that she hasn't got to get close, and this method is definitely working for us Re harnesses.....we also use a Ruffwear harness on Maddy with a double ended lead. She wears a small and she is a 28" tall, but slender greyhound. I think she feels secure in her harness (almost like some people like thundershirts ) Just to add, Maddy is also the same with other sighthounds...can be any dog unfortunately

It is very common for sighthounds to be great with other sighthounds but not with other breeds!
Unfortunately my Gracie greyhound doesn't like other sighthounds apart from her pack and most sighthound owners assume she will like their dogs! she's such a diva, no fear aggression, she just wants all the attention!

Moss is good at home but will have a bark at other dogs when out on the lead, also some people, but if we stop to talk to someone he will initially bark and then settles down quickly and stands patiently by my side with no problem, I always cross over to avoid contact as I feel a lot happier doing that,I think that it is a protective mode with him, when I am at home he will play the Lodger up barking at him and as soon as I leave the house he is all friendly with him, I also praise him when he is good, usually when he plays up on a walk I reign him in and stand firm until he stops and the person or dog has gone by, I find this the easiest option as I also have the large old staffie to hold as well.

Just also wanted to add that the ruffwear harness is also great - we use a double ended halti lead to just as Molly can be quite strong at times.
