Hi, We have a rehomed galgo lad of two years whose companion a 12 yr old lurcher bitch died earlier this year. He has been managing pretty well until we took him to kennels on his own for the 2nd time. Ist visit was fine. This time he didn't settle and was unhappy for 3 days before he settled. We are thinking this is because he has bonded so strongly with us since he has been a single dog. We are wondering if you think a female would be good company for him? We have always been a multi rescue dog household (usually 3) so we feel we could cope with another but Tigger is quite highly strung and any introduction would need to be carefully handled. He tends to mount subordinate dogs and run away from dominant ones. We'd be grateful for any advice. We love the look of Harper but would consider any dog you suggest. I will fill out an adoption form. Thanks for your help.

Sorry for your loss Fiona. The homing team are winding down for a break over Christmas so please don't think we're ignoring you if you do not hear back from your application until the new year. Lisa is fabulous as matching homes with suitable dogs and we do everything we can through the home visit to get to know adopters and their dogs as well as possible so fingers crossed we'll be able to find a new friend for Tigger. Harper is at the moment still under assessment.
