I've always got all our dogs meds from the vet but Maddie has been trying Clomicalm and it's really helping her so vet thinks she should stay on it at least until after the new year fireworks. They charge over £4 per tablet - 1 a day. I'm trying not to make an ins claim for them and I've found them at Pet drugs online and Animed direct for half the price - £60. 90 for 30. Anyone used them? are they ok? Vets charge £15 for the prescription so its a still a big saving. Any advice gratefully received

Vicky, we (Gap) use Animed for our fosters who are on long term meds and have found them good. Get your vet to give you a 6 month scrip - you don't need to buy them all at once, Animed keep the scrip on file until you fill it.

When I used them for Tigger years ago I saved £250 on one lot of tabs (she was very poorly ) Petplan paid the 'scription charge and paid for the meds just from the Hyperdrug invoice made out to me Tig was having Tramadol ..the referral hospital charged me something like £10 for 10 tablets, Hyperdrug said they only dispensed them in 100s so I gulped and asked how much for a 100 ... Hyperdrug charged £2.99 !!!! Yes £2.99 Like has been said ask for a 6 month prescription Jx
