Menta's todays vet visit.

Menta is back home very happy to be back here. The eye pressure is back to normal pressure, the chest xrays show the lungs etc are completely clear and there is nothing out of the ordinary. Jan has taken a sample of the lump and is sending that away, says it can take upto two weeks for the results to come back. I made sure Menta was okay, by lifting her into and out of the Dog Wagon, she is now stretched out snoozing on the mat. I will give her evening meal along with the three Greyhounds around 6pm. I think she needs to settle down after spending most of the day in the vets. The sample of the lump was taken under a local, and now she has a couple of stitches to close it up. When we got back home she was exploring the patio making sure she was actually back home, as soon as she had checked that she then strolled in through the front door and lay down to have a snooze on the thick dog mat.

At the park today I let Menta have a roam around off the lead. It was a pleasure to watch her as she went to investigate an area she use to go to when she could see. Watching her it was as if she could see in her mind's eye where she was eventually when I called her she looked up and came over to me so that I could place her back on the lead. We did not have a long walk as it was raining and we all were getting soaked. The Greyhounds soon got back into the Dog Wagon out of the rain, and Menta waited until I lifted her front legs up on to the dog bed at the door and then jumped into the Dog Wagon.

I see Berriewoods are still not being supplied by Naturediet so they still have the 15% discount on ForthGlade. Next Friday if the offer is still on I will have Berriewoods send me another 8 boxes of ForthGlade Chicken and Tripe my hounds prefer ForthGlade to Naturediet. Mickey did not want any breakfast until we came back from our walk, mainly I am sure because it was Naturediet. Mind you he prefers to stay in his bed until I have put the coats and harnesses on the other three Hounds and he sees me having my shoes and coat on.

I'm so pleased you felt able to trust Menta off lead - as you say, it was a joy to see Just keep talking to her so she knows where you are, keep walking and all will be well. I have a warning 'aagh' for my little one if she's heading in a direction that might hurt her - she will immediately stop and change course.

Some of the results have come back Jan our vet has requested for a few more tests and is waiting for them to come back. I am taking Menta to see Jan on Wednesday at 9.30am. I will leave the three Greyhounds home and collect them after Menta's vet's visit.
