Hi
Wallace is still peeing when left alone - not always but it is a regular thing. He still follows me from room to room (I ignore him, close the door etc) so I'm thinking this is a stress peeing thing. I need advice on how to help him be less stressed when humans aren't around (tried dap already) and also tips on how others have avoided their carpets etc being ruined by pee. Should I put down towels or plastic sheeting or will this encourage him?
Thanks!

How long have you had Wallace now? We had teething problems with Moss weeing on the sofa in the kitchen so we covered everything up and put his bed in there, he also would wee when he had been running around outside and drank loads, thankfully all that has stopped, are you not able to put him in an uncarpeted area? I hope you get some replies from other gappers who have some good advice. Shazx

We had stress weeing with Gizzi and drinking loads of water weeing with Lena. Didn't realise at first what Lena was doing but I read something on here about it. We bought a Vax carpet shampooer and some strong disinfectant. It was a few months in both cases before it stopped completely. With Lena we have to be careful when we leave her. In the evenings it is fine as she doesn't drink much after tea as she doesn't want to interrupt her 10 hours in bed to go out for a pee! Gizzi's stress weeing stopped eventually as she settled in but it did take a while.
We aren't too houseproud so managed to cope, but glad it's stopped now.
