Lulu ( lindy) is 14 yrs old in June. She isn't on any medication and is eating well. However for about the last couple of months her back legs tremble when she stands. It doesnt appear to cause her concern but im a bit worried. The vet has checked her over and cant find the cause. Do you think it is just her age ? What is the oldest age for a greyhound within greyhound gap ?

It's very common in older dogs of all breeds sadly. Not sure why, possibly weakening muscles and arthritis. Our old lurcher had real trembly legs towards the end and very bad arthritis. It's never seemed to be painful in all the dogs I've known with it. Sorry, not nice as they get older is it

Like Vicky says most oldies seem to get it .... My 'routine' maintenance' of oldies includes regulat chiropractic checks, hydrotherapy, avoid heat and cold tho CoolCoats and warm coats help), a good mobility Supplement and more shorter walks than long ones. I've been using Yumove tho it suited my lurcher well but gave my greyhound Colitis It's had great scientific test results and is cheaper from Amazon Julie

My greyhound Kym has bad back legs, I use Joint Care granules added to her food it makes a big difference. Or Pooch and Mutt Mobile Bones is a powder supplement that I've heard good things about.
