With Ernie now having being diagnosed with osteoarthritis a friend has recommended we try a bioflow collar for him so I just wondered if anyone else has tried these for their dogs or even the same sort of thing for themselves. It can't hurt to give it a try but I'd be interested if anyone has got an opinion on them.
Thanks a lot

Rio wears one but hers was more 'just in case' so I don't know how she would be now if she hadn't been wearing one. Indy also had one but I through lots of stuff at him for his arthritis so don't know how much the collar improved things. However, I also put a collar on the two cats, one didn't really show any change but again he was more a 'just in case'. Mac, however, was really suffering with arthritis, he used to like to jump up on the bathroom basin and drink from a running tap but in the end he couldn't manage it. 2-3 weeks after wearing the collar he was once again able to jump up on the basin and was generally moving much more freely so I think worth a try.

Thanks Nettie, that's really interesting especially about Mac, I think they're about £30 so definitely worth a try and you never know it might make a difference to Ernie which would be great. Sian x

I used bioflow magnets when my daughters horse broke my finger in several places ( ) . The bone wasn't healing and the hospital was talking about grafts - then I got the 'boost pack' from a stand at a show. I don't know if it helped my finger to finally heal but what convinced me to buy it was the fact that they put it on and told me to walk round for half an hour and come back. The hand with it on had started to tingle and was perceptibly warmer than the other. Without a doubt it improved the circulation in the injured hand. So I would also say worth a try! Hope Ernie is coping well xx

I used one on my old arthritic dog and I am sure it helped him, and I also lent it to a neighbour with a very old arthritic greyhound - and she noticed an improvement.

Hi, our trace has a bio collar & turmeric with her food and I am sure that has helped her.

I have used bioflow collars for years and each dog has shown a great improvement, and along with Flexijoint, I wouldn't stop using either.

Thanks everyone for your input, sounds like on the whole most of you like them and I think it's definitely worth a go so I'll order one today. He takes something called Flexadin for his joints which is a daily supplement but I have to be careful using other stuff like the Tumeric because he also has a heart condition and is on three different pills for that but I assume the bioflow collar wouldn't cause any problems in that department so will give it a go and see what happens.
Thanks and Happy Easter all.

A Bioflow collar worked for us, my dog showed signs of improvement in her arthritis in just a few weeks. I definitely recommend a food supplement too. I used GWF before but I think Bioflow have just brought out one too?

Milo and Herbie both have bioflow collars. I got them initially for Herbie's back problem and Milo's arthritic shoulder problem. I cant really say I saw much difference to be honest though. Then someone on here who I met told me that dogs shouldnt wear them all the time.. only when they had flare ups etc to see maximum benefit.. so I took them off them. But this thread has reminded me that we have them, so I will try them again and see if they help Herbie this time with his arthritis worsening due to his amputation.
