Reggie has been with us almost a week now and settling well with Lola. He tends to wake us with a howl in the morning, but not until I'm about to get up, and even that's improving!
The only problem is around his coat! With Lola, her "physical arrangement" allows her to toilet without problems wearing her coat. Unfortunately we have to rinse Reggie's coat after every walk, particularly the strap underneath his tummy! His boys bits are directly behind and in perfect alignment with the strap!
Is there a trick we are missing, or a coat designed to work around the boys anatomy? All ideas / thoughts appreciated!

I think it's a bit of tril and error unfortunately! Bob [whippet] has never peed on his coats but Snoop lurcher has problems with any that aren't very fitted. The best ones are the ones that aren't too deep in the body and have quite a fitted strap, that is in the right place not easy! Good luck

He never really wore a coat when he was here he doesn't seem to feel the cold really He has been happy to put his head into the coat, so we assumed he's been used to one. I was applying the same logic that I use with Lola (who hasn't much fur and can shiver in the cold) - if I need gloves, she needs a coat. Reggie's fur is certainly thicker, so we'll see how he goes without a coat. Hopefully it'll be warmer soon!

A lot of people who make jumpers to order do make them shorter under the tummy to allow for boys lack of aim! Never had a boy that caught the strap on a coat though, although have had them pee up through a jumper . I think it must be trial and error where the strap sits. The joys of boys! Does he miss his front legs? A lot manage to hit the backs of their front legs/feet every time

...Does he miss his front legs? A lot manage to hit the backs of their front legs/feet every time Yes, so far! Lola usually manages to pee on a slope though, with at least one paw down-hill! The girls have their problems too!!

Moss loves his light coat but I have managed to get him to move his feet when peeing as he ultimately ends up with one foot in a puddle, the first time I put his blizzard winter coat on got his bits tangled (ouch)!

Ours hasn't peed on his coat yet, but we had it custom made by a website called AK Creations. He does pee on his front feet / legs sometimes though, especially if he gets excited and then has a squatty wee instead of cocking his leg (or if he's feeling lazy and can't find a good bin! haha). It might be that the coat is a 'unisex' coat and you might need to look for one specifically for the fellas.
