When Sapphy was in the vet hosp we didn't visit. They said we could but they preferred it if we didn't as they needed to keep her calm and quiet. I know it's hard but for the best. Thinking of you both |

Sending tons of get well wishes for Layla, I hope the treatment is successful and she recovers well. I know how worrying this is, when one of our lurchers was in the vet hospital with suspected Meningitis it was such a worrying time. Layla's a lucky girl to have someone who cares so much for her.

Thanks all for the loving thoughts.
I spoke to them this morning and they are saying she seems brighter and well settled, but they are struggling to get her interested in eating still. This is despite earlier saying she was eating. So I am not sure how things stand really.
But I have to believe that it is still early days and continue to have hope that she'll start to show more concrete signs of improvement as the treatment progresses.
Will call and check on her later.

keeping you both in my thoughts Kevin and hoping Miss Layla starts to eat soon. When one of our dogs was recovering from leg amputation and not doing so well at the vets my hubby cooked some beef and took that in and he then started to eat it as long as we took it in LOL. Just a thought to see if Layla could be tempted with something special xxx

They rang me asking if there were any special treats they could give her. She has never been a counter surfer or even hassles me when making/eating my dinner so we have never really tried much in way of cooked foods as treats for her. As she was getting worse I tried tuna, ham and fresh chicken but she showed no interest. I told them she loves chicken Fridge Raiders  But she was even going off them as she got worse, so not sure what else they can try. Everything else is just guess work. Will call them again in an hour and hope they managed to get something into her. It's been a loooooong week without her! |

Yay, they managed to get her to eat. They tell me she is very settled.
