Hi there,
Our lovely Cal has started smelling the house out of an evening. No change in diet or stress levels (that I can think of). He's always been a bit whiffy, but it seems really bad at the moment. We don't mind the smell too much, but wondered if we should change his food? He has a mix of kibble and wet food at the moment. He gets bored of the same thing, so we switch between the two to keep him interested. But maybe we're upsetting his stomach. Any tips would be appreciated... Thanks!

What foods is he on, and how long has he been on them for? Interestingly, there is a thread on the forum from yesterday evening regarding an article that was in the Telegraph about dog food. You might have a look at that and see if there is any info that might help you. I used to feed Taste of the a Wild dry food for one meal, and raw for the other, but have now switched to raw altogether. I must say that the ToW prairie food was really good, no additives or preservatives, and no cereals and grains, and when you put some warm pre-boiled water on it it made a delicious smelling gravy. It also didn't swell up like some dry foods, and the dogs didn't need anything added into it to make them eat it, they couldn't wait to get their heads into the bowl. No whiffy smells either I have noticed that a lot of people have to add something tasty into their dry food to get the dogs interested, and I definitely didn't have to do that. It's not cheap, it's on a par with James Wellbeloved etc., but you can shop around and get a good deal, like with Zooplus. You can get a 2 bag deal, accrue points on a zooplus account, and Zooplus is on Giveasyoulive where you can nominate Gap as your charity. Or you can buy it from Durham Animal Petfoods, at a really good price. Or, after all that, you could just try a raw food diet
