The auction works in two parts:
1. If you have an item to donate please take a photo of the item and write a short description in the most appropriate category. IE If you have a book to auction then please put the item in the Books, DVDs and CDs board above. Please state whether you will pay for postage or whether you would like the bidder to pay. After you have posted your item a member of admin will lock the thread until the auction opens.
2. At Noon on Saturday 11th all the auction threads will be unlocked and bidding can start. The last bid to be counted will be the one posted at 12 Noon on Sunday the 26th January according to the forum clock.
Please ensure payment is made by Sunday the 2nd February, any items that have not been paid for as of Monday the 27th January will be offered to the previous highest bidder.
Once you have made payment, your winning item will be marked up as PAID in the thread title, after this please pm the person who has donated the item with your postal address so it can be sent to you.
Happy Bidding!
How to Pay:
By Cheque to
The Treasurer
Greyhound Gap
15 Farlton Road
London
SW18 3BJ
Cheques should be payable to "Greyhound Gap".
PAYPAL
Payments made by paypal should be sent to:
treasurer@greyhoundgap.com
When you pay by paypal, Greyhound Gap is charged a fee for that service. We therefore kindly ask you to add a small amount to cover the cost of those fees. Paypal charges us as follows:
1.4% of the total amount paid + £0.20 GBP
For example, if you were sending £10, Gap would be charged as follows:
1.4% of £10 = 0.14p +20p = a fee of 34p. Gap therefore receives £9.66
Hopefully that will help you work out how much you need to add to cover the fees.
