Hi everyone,
I hope that it isn't cheeky of me to ask for help when I've not been on here in an age, and I hope you and your hounds are all well.
A couple of months ago Bingo took a bit of a tumble and got a few minor cuts and scrapes on his legs; only one was bad enough to need bandaging but with a bit of time and manuka honey everything seemed healed, except for a smallish graze on his back leg, on the inside of his thigh just above the knee, which stayed a little red and the fur didn't grow back. Over the last week or so this has suddenly grown into quite a large red lump (I can't post any pictures I'm afraid). It doesn't appear to be painful and isn't weeping. Do I need to be concerned/is this vet worthy, do you think? Or is this quite common after minor wounds and something which should sort itself out if I keep it clean/apply manuka/the usual wound management?
Thank you

Hello Jess and Bingo,
If its not healed after two months I think it would be worth a visit to your vet as there may be some thing under the skin causing the redness and lump.

I would head for the vets as soon as they are open and operating on normal hours again after Christmas , probably tomorrow? Get it checked out to make sure there's nothing nasty going on, may need antibiotics to help clear up any infection. Good luck, and let us know what happens.
