Is there a difference between the greyhound and lurcher coats other than the length of the back?

Gilli no there isn't any other differences, I think they just call them lurcher coats because most greyhounds aren't that little and most whippets aren't that big so lurcher fit those sizes. That's my reasoning anyway. Sent from my HTC One S using proboards

Is there a difference between the greyhound and lurcher coats other than the length of the back? The lurcher coats are a bit wider just in case people have a stockier dog. Not trying to be awkward but how stocky is stocky? Barty fluctuates between 24.5 Kg and 28.5 kg depending on how much running he does. He's on restricted exercise again at the moment so is at top weight. Flynn is about 29kg. Neither have what you could call a waist.

I asked them what the difference was on the blizzard website and they said the lurcher coat "is not so full in the body"

I asked them what the difference was on the blizzard website and they said the lurcher coat "is not so full in the body" I am waiting to hear from them. So that means that if you have a stockier dog you would go for a greyhound size coat. That does not make sense to me but if that is what they have said it must be right. Thank you for that, at least it answers the question about the difference.

So they are smaller then the greyhound size. Good job we checked because i just assumed they would be wider.
