Hi everyone, we have now had Brandy for a week and she seems to be settling ok, despite a few issues. We are however concerned that we don't know when she was last de fleaed. She isn't itching nor does she have any signs but obviously we want to keep it that way! So any advice on what we should/ should not use would be hugely appreciated xx

Advocate Spot On, Advocate also has the additional protection against Fleas and Flea Larvae, Roundworm, Hookworm, Heartworm and Ear Mites.
Also treats Lungworm, Whipworm, Biting Lice, Sarcoptes and Demodex. Advocate can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis. Does not treat Tapeworm.
You do need to get this from the vet or if you buy it online you will need a vet prescription.

If a hound does get a flea infestation, it is VERY important that you also treat the home and the animal's bedding or any where they go such as the car with a insecticide which is specifcally targeted at fleas and their larvea. You can get these from your vet.
It is no good just treating the dog, as by the time you discover the fleas on your pet. they will have almost certainly laid eggs around the environment and will keep hatching out and re in fecting the animal.
One application usually lasts several months.
