Yesterday I took in a little rescue chihuahua. A friend rescued him from the life as a puppy farm stud dog. Sadly she couldn't keep him as her male whippet is male aggressive and this little man is male. When she got him he arrive with thousands of friends(fleas)
We have taken him in yesterday and discovered that he still had a few friends on him. She had bathed him in flea shampoo and done him with frontline. Yesterday fortunatelky I found the fleas as soon as we got home so he went straight into the bath for a good bath with flea shampoo. I combed him with a flea comb and only found dead fleas on him. This morning I have found another live flea.
Is it too soon to give him another bath? I havre flea drops but with him being done with frontline last week and having had 2 baths in a week I don't want to over do it with him. I can comb him but at the moment he is very fearfull of eveything and his coat is very long and very thick.

If you bath too much the Frontline will be less effective. Have you sprayed his bed and surroundings with something like Acclaim. It could be that any odd fleas have just jumped on from round about.
I was a chihuahua owner for 20 odd years, but have gradually got bigger - and now it's a greyhound!
