Hi all, it's been awhile,we have been a tad busy, i have a question, lily a 8 year old grey, has a tremor in her left shoulder, she is in emotional shut down, which we are working out, and we think she is in physical shut down as well. Now she is on anti inflammatory pills to see if this stops the shaking,so far it has not. On top of this i have noticed that cj our 6 year old grey has a shake in his shoulder, yet he has no shut down or any other illnesses The common factor is they were both lying down at the time when they have the shakes. Is this a common thing in ex-racers has anybody had any experiences and what did you do . Thanks

My ex-racer Tigger had Tremors when her head and neck would shake like a nodding dog .. my conventional vet thought it sounded like epilepsy (tho she hadn't seen the tremors as they'd stopped by the time we got to the surgery) and said they wouldn't do anything till Tig had more than 3 episodes a week Tig wasn't 'out of it' like friends' dogs who did have epilepsy so I didn't think that was the right diagnosis .. I realised that she always had them after she'd had her head and neck drooped over the end of a high bed so I just got her checked by a McTimoney chiro and once tweaks in her shoulder and neck were sorted she was fine ... When my chiro or osteopath have seen shaking in my dogs muscles they've called it 'fizzing and said it can happen when there are changes in the muscles and chiropractic treatments usually helps - just google McTimoney chiropractic for one in your area For emotional shutdown check out TTouch as that will really help. J xx
