Comfortis dog flea tablets

Just had a leaflet from my vet offering 20% off a six month treatment of Comfortis tablets - I wondered if anyone had either heard of them or used them before as they are new to me.Apparently it is a tablet given monthly which is supposed to kill fleas within 30 minutes.I have used something similar once on my 4 cats a couple of years ago and one of the cats had an adverse reaction and for an hour she was leaping round the house as if she was trying to get away from something so I'm wary about these.

Hi there, have read a few reports on line about reactions good and bad!
Share your concern, bought my two some back in July but have yet to use. Although need to use something pretty urgent like.
Sorry can't offer more reassurance.
Would be grateful though to know what you used and whether it worked.
