We have been asked to post details of a fawn greyhound bitch found (16th July) in Oxfordshire as the microchip details seem to be out of date and an owner has not been located She is definitely a greyhound as the finder has details that she last raced at Perry Barr in February 2012, but the Doglost poster describes her as a lurcher Photos and contact details are on the Doglost site: www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=41265

Have they checked with the Greyhound Racing Board as she could still be on their records of who she went to, or who she is still registered with as the Racing Owner/Trainer should have filled in a form notifying transfer of ownership but quite often they do not do this as it costs £25 to do this notification. If that has not happened PetLog will not have any details as the Greyhound Racing Board who require all racing Greyhounds to be microchipped. Both Mickey Finn (Hiace Hawk) and Kelly (Greenacre Kelly) I had to pay £15 each to get Petlog to carry out the checks with the Greyhound Racing Board in order to register them as my Greyhounds. Because she last raced at Perry Bar in February 2012 may mean she had been transferred to a Flapper as happened with Mickey Finn as his right ear has been nicked and although his last official race was in August 2011, he was living in a back garden kennel until he escaped from it in November 2011, was caught two weeks later when he went up to the Dog Warden for Sheffield Council and ended up in their dog pound where I collected him from 4 days after I lost Missy (Outstanding Miss) from bone cancer having broken her supportive left back leg femur right at the ball and socket joint of her left hip. Missy left for the Rainbow Bridge on the 5th and Mickey Finn rehomed to the Swansea Valley on the 9th December 2011.
