When you say she has recently begun to show aggression to other dogs, how recently has it been? Is it post spaying, or did it start before then? What do you mean by aggression, is she lunging at other dogs and is it all other dogs she has decided she doesn't like or just certain ones?
Just thinking out loud, and I'm no expert so really only voicing my thoughts so could be totally barking up the wrong tree here, but maybe it's due to a change in her hormone balance from being spayed. If it's only been a couple of weeks then she will hardly have settled yet.
Hope you can find the answer to your problem, and that everything is soon peaceful and happy in your house.

As Jackie has said, it would help to have a lot more information on timing, examples of her behaviour etc. There are a lot of possibilities so the more you can give the better. Fingers crossed, it may just be her hormones settling down again - a friend had her collie bitch spayed recently, they had two months or so of Suzie showing aggression to other dogs and then as she settled, she went back to her normal friendly self.

Hi Keke Welcome to Gap. A couple of things - as already mentioned, the bitch that has just been spayed will, I'm sure, take a while for hormones to settle down (ours certainly did) and added to that, she is coping with the new dog in the house so lots of changes for her. I wonder if the aggression shown to other dogs on walks has become a problem since she has been walked with the new dog? Many Gap members will, I'm sure, say that there is a difference between walking two dogs together and one on their own. Personally, my two are pretty much angelic on their own but a formidable unit together if there's something they take exception to There may be other explanations to help you further but in the meantime, hope things improve for you Jo x

Oh yes, I've got four greyhound girls and they behave far differently as a pack than they do singly - I call it pack mentality. You have to be very vigilant when out with a group and know their individual personalities, e.g. how strong is each dog's prey drive, the stronger ir it is, the more likelihood of aggression. I've got two like that but the other two are more placid, but will join in if the first two crack off. Also when off lead, who is likely to make the first aggressive move and that's the one you grab first! Again, it comes down to knowing your dog's personality and how they are likely to react, jointly and individually. Good luck!
Baz and the four girls.
