I use DAP and Song is calmer with it. You can get collars, sprays and plug-ins.

Thank you and does it help I have just ad my curtains ripped down and vertical blinds riped down and torn to peaces I managed to replace them before oh came home. I was doing really well leaving them and just ignoring them before I went out and when I first came in I have done nearly 2 weeks successfully before this happened I always give them a good run 1st. It as taken me alot of courage to get another dog I feel veery down hearted.

Wouldn't waste money on Dap Collar as have to replace them every month. I too use Dap diffuser for Foxy and her wierd separation anxiety. Definitely use rescue remedy (I use it in their water and straight into foxy's big 'gob'). I am going to be getting Dap spray and after reading some replies on here will spray onto either a bandana or her collar (think that was Nettie that put that idea forward)

Yes, the DAP spray on a bandana seems to work, and works out cheaper than the collars Ive used rescue remedy for 'distress' ( that terrible scream) after injuries in garden/ house etc, but not for SA. Good luck, there is much advice RE SA on here on another thread, but I presume youve read, and experimented.

I really sympathise my greyhound once went on a spectacular spree involving all my curtains and blinds. - thats when i borrowed a crate - saved my house and my frazzled nerves because dreadin leavin the dog just increases the stress. sometimes it must feel like you are going backwards but it's still early days yet with these naughty pups Sal and the now saintly Poppy

Do the plug in diffusers work for puppies ? My son and partener are having real trouble with a 9 week old puppy, who won't settle overnight, though she's fine if left a short while during the day. (mind you they have ignored my advice to leave light on , rather than the tv, as I think she conects lights out with being left)
