bacterial hepatitis

well Abbys blood tests are back which indicate a problem with her liver that the vet thinks is bacterial hepatitis so she has gone in today for iv fluids, repeat bloods tonite and fluids and review tomorrow. If no improvment then a liver biopsy which she is to poorly to have under general anaesthetic so will be referred to have it done by ultrasound.

Does anyone have any expierience of hepatitis or liver biopsy that they can share? Really starting to think its the begining of the end for my poor girly

I had hepatitis due to damage from prescribed pain killers, I was due a liver biopsy but someone suggested milk thistle tablets. My next blood test was so much improved my biopsy was cancelled. I do not know if milk thistle will help Abby but it is worth a try

My last grey had a liver abcess which stopped MRIs etc for a disc problem as the vet hospital said it could kill her - I took her to a homeopathic vet who gave her Milk Thistle as well as other remedies and it cleared up so I'd definitely try Milk Thistle too

PS Would it be worth also trying something like Neem multi capsules to attack the bacteria bit ? Neem's anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal .. I get mine from Neem Genie or ask Dave at Neem genie about the Colloidal SIlver ?
