Have booked our little holiday to Blackpool. We arrive on August 17th so we can come along for a couple of hours to help out if you still have spaces for more hounds + me.

What time do folk think would be do-able to meet up on Saturday? Does 10am / 10.30am sound ok, to allow travel time for us to get there and park? I've spoken to the local council who have advised that there is parking close to central pier, which is only a short walk, and dogs are allowed access through. It's supposedly easy to find from the M55, onto Blackpool Central road (Yeadon Way) straight through to the car park. Address is as follows: Central Car Park Central Drive Lancashire Blackpool FY1 5QU Parking costs as follows (unable to negotiate any concessions sorry - though we can try sweet talking on the day ) £2.50 / 2 hours £3.50 / 3 hours £4.50 / 4 hours £9.00 / 8 hours If we're parking there, it's probably worth us meeting up on the beach side of the prom by central pier as that's the closest - hopefully we'll spot each other / the houndies I can't give any other landmarks as I've not been to Blackpool for years As I've said, I'll bring our permit, some Gap bandanas, leaflets, collection buckets, and water for the houndies. Jo - are you ok to bring an info board and your Gap racing jackets? I can send big strong Fran to help you lug any stuff you bring if you need him - give me a ring when you get there and are parked up Judy - do you need a lift? For those bringing hounds, it's worth bringing something your hound can lie down on, as that's probably what they'll be doing most of the day ;D An based on our recent experiences doing street collections, we will probably need waterproofs, wellies, earplugs for nervous hounds if it thunders, swan repellent and maybe an inflatable dinghy to get us home afterwards!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Remind me if you're able to join us and if anyone wants to exchange mobile numbers to make things easier on the day, send me a pm Looking forward to a fun day

Currently sitting here 5 miles from the Tower under torrential rain and the best lightning show for some years! Lets hope that that means it will be gone before Saturday. 10.30am sounds ok to us! The meeting arrangements sound good as we might not all be able to get in the same part of the car park. Swans will not be a problem though gulls might. See you Saturday.
