the hounds have been in the wars lately with both of them having major dentals . However, Abby has always been as clean as a whistle in the house but out the blue a couple of months ago had a huge wee on the rug as she was lying down (looking a bit suprised as we were jumping around  , every morning this week we have come down to a wet quilt which looks like she has been leaking rather than a big wee and she has lost weight , off food. Will be taking her back to vet but just not sure what can be done or whether this is old age? Anyone had similar and what did the vet recommend? feeling a bit sad cos only just realizing how white around the muzzle she is and not a youngster any more  thanx Helen |

my 14 year old grey wet her bed twice in the same morning about 3 weeks ago. As she is not normally incontinent for urine I suspected she had a UTI and took her to vet next day, where that was confirmed. course of antibiotics sorted it out very quickly. Hope your girl is sorted out soon.

My old lurcher used to leak large amounts of wee and she was diagnosed as being incontinent.
My vet put her on Propalin Syrup which worked very effectively but she was taking it for the rest of her life. On the very odd occasion that I forgot to give it to her she leaked urine overnight.
Not eating and losing weight sounds like there may be something else wrong (possible UTI) and I would deffinitely go and see the vet.

well i have a poorly girly, nothing to do wit UTI, old age ,unfortunatley Abby is very jaundiced and being investigated waiting for bloods back tomorrow to see where we go from her |

Cross fingers it is something they have a treatment for.
