Hi all! wondering if anyone could point us in the right direction of a knowledgeable greyhound vet? our poor long nose is suffering with reoccuring corns and although treatment/prevention is limited, we are really keen to avoid surgery again if poss. Due to the amount of research we've done, we appear to know more about greyhounds and their ailments than our vet! . We live in the south east of Kent, but are willing travel that little bit further for the peace of mind of a decent greyhound vet. Thanks in advance! xx

Hi,
I think the name of the vet who is a miracle worker with greyhound corns often mentioned on here is Daniel Doherty of Uxbridge.
I am sure someone will see this and post a link if it is correct or put us right if it is not.
Sorry to hear your dog is suffering at the moment and hope you can sort it out soon.
Good luck,
Debbie.

I know EXACTLY what you mean about knowing more about corns than your vet I know Uxbridge is quite some distance from you but Daniel Doherty has developed his own treatment for corns which is not available elsewhere and I know lots of folk here on Gap and from elsewhere who have had their greyhounds' corns successfully treated by him. Here is a thread you might find useful: greyhoundgap.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=New&thread=59496&page=1
