Well it's time to go public folks. I didn't want to put a post on the site until Sid had settled in with me but he is definately here to stay in Somerset
I picked him up from Trish in Stoke on the Saturday after bonfire night and we have formed a strong bond ever since. He is such a bright soul and makes me laugh with all his mischevious antics like stealing posh fishcakes, using defrosting chickens as lollipops and generally keeping me on my toes! He is now an only dog but meets staff dogs at work (I work at a vets) and is about to meet another resuce lurcher called Isla who was found dumped by a friend of mine. She had been left at a roadside by gypsys, poor love, and had sustained fractured ribs and bruised lungs. Fortunately Hannah is a vet nurse and she is now fully recovered so the pair will be introduced when the ice has gone!!!
Anyway Sid has more outfits than Imelda Marcos has shoes ( I recommend Equafleece jumpers and coats esp the slim fit which contours beautifully over lurchers curves!) and more toys than Hamleys! The squeakier the better and is obsessed with the beloved frisbee! He is hoping to go to some obedience/agility classes in the New Year and then it will be eventing season so he will touring with the ponies when they compete, although I will be keeping my beady eye on him!!
A big thankyou to Lisa and Trish for all there help, support and advice, and to Martin for his kind words and fab photos! I will post some photos in the N.Year work finally calms down! x

Sid Whippet - when he forms a dog-punk band and does a tour, post details. There's plenty of music loving dogs from GG here who'd come to the gigs.....
