Please can anyone help transport Lucy an 8 year old Greyhound. She is coming into Oldies Club care and we need to move her from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (NE5) to St Albans (AL4) The full route is:- A1 / A1(M) M18 M1 A1081 alternative straight down A1 / A1(M)
Total of miles 262.9 taking 4hr 40 mins. Lucy is vaccinated and neutered. She isnt microchipped but is tattooed. Lucy has had all her teeth removed as they were in a state. She is gentle and friendly. The vets do not know if she is good in the car but as she is an exracer we assume she is used to travelling. Lucy will be legally owned by Oldies Club upon handover to first transporter. We have full liability insurance in place, but we ask that volunteers contact their own motor insurers to advise that they are transporting dogs on a voluntary basis for rescue. You should then be covered for any incidents that may occur. There should be no charge for this, but please let us know if there is and we can reimburse you. Lucy should be transported in a safe and secure manner and great care must be taken when placing in/out of vehicles and changing over to new volunteers. This run needs to take place after the 24th June as fosterers are away. If you can help please can you state which days you are available and where you can meet up either side of your journey. Thanks very much Amy

Hi
I might be able to help from the Newcastle end.
If you pm me with some details I'll see what I can do.
