All the toys I've bought are still intact - what the hell is wrong with my dogs?? They play with them, but not to destruction - I think they like to cuddle the cuddly toys in bed ;D

well i bought a kong wubba and 2 ducks from pets at home. I think I did get the wrong ducks - i was a bit dubious asbout them but bought them anyway. Well Ben LOVED the ducks but he killed the squeaks in about 1 minute per duck! The kong is not his cup of tea at all he likes the squeak but doesn't want to play with it, maybe because it doesn't look like an animal?! He only plays with things until the squeak dies so something like the latex duck but better quality would be perfect - although with a longer lasting squeak i think he would have shredded the duck very quickly. Hmmmmmmm its so hard! Kepp the suggestions coming!!!!!! x

I've spent a fortune over the last year trying to get a toy that blue likes, will play with, doesn't eat, and won't break!!
I've had all sorts, and no breakthrough yet. Will find something if it kills me.

I have a Kong for him, which hew does love, but I was after a toy that he could play with, rather than a foodie type thing. Kongs are great, and he loves a peanut butter filled treat!

Roxy is a complete terror for chewing toys, shoes etc ;D Sadly she tends to teach my fosters her wicked ways too I've found that the toys with ropes through them, we have a piggy, snowman and raindeer with rope arms and legs. They tend to last a bit longer, but Roxy does have a thing about pulling eyes off things, once she has disabled them she will play with them happily for months. She loves all squeaky toys but destroys them in seconds ;D She even rips the jackets off those balls on ropes, I bought her one of them from Sainsbury the other week and she had destroyed it before I put the shopping away

I get the chew toys for "big dogs"... so the hard core Kong ones... and anything too big for them... they just last longer that way. tesses staffy jaw strength can destroy anything that doesn't make the grade in seconds. i bought her a rubber tug toy with a handle at either end on the day i brought her home from the pound... 4.5 years later it's still going strong and a still a favourite... it's moved hours twice, been left in the garden countless times, buried, maulled, had a dog either end tugging at it for 20 minutes til i got fed up of them and the silliness... it's awesome.
