how many ribs are you supposed to see on a healthy greyhound when standing ?
Thank you

Two . . . the last two on each side, that is. But each dog has a natural weight at which it's happiest and healthiest, so 'two ribs' is by no means a hard and fast rule, and neither is the 'visible pin bones' rule of thumb. ;D ;D

So does Lettice. Had her weighed at the vets last night and she's put on 1.5 Kilos in the 8 months she's been here Nothing worse that a fat greyhound (apart from an underfed one lol!) so it's cut down time for my big fat heifer

done some concideration, he is not all that bad, you can just abut see the ribs, as long as i can keep him on this level i think he is fine.

I find my dogs tend to fill out a bit in winter and loose it in spring -then when it gets to autumn they turn into gannets again to put a bit back on
