Sadly I have just found out that one of the my dogs brothers Rolo slipped his lead and went missing last Thursday 8th Jan. He was last seen near the Birkenhead tip were someone the owner knew tried to get him into her car but failed. His owner Helen has been out looking for him everyday since, she's notified all the appropriate people. For those who know Wirral it was up the roundabout by B&Q near to Leasowe beach which as some of you may know is VERY busy and leads to the motorways :yikes: We are hoping he head towards the beaches... He is chipped. Yet we have heard nothing and there hasnt been anymore sightings. I know there are a few local peeps on here so we would appreciate if you can keep your eyes and ears opening as it is very worrying Rolo as a pup Have just been sent some updated pics. His owner Helen is making flyers to-night and taking Rolo's photo to the Pound and R.S.P.C.A. The lady who bred Rolo is also making posters and will put them up. We are all very worried and not quite sure what else we can be doing? He is a stunning looking boy and so distinctive His dogs-lost ID is 16650 He was wearing a semi-check collar in blue.

Just had an email from the lady who bred Rolo
No, no news. Was just going to drop you a line anyway, but really there's nothing to report. Helen e-mailed me to-day, she thinks someone must have him, with there being no sightings etc. She has put some posters locally and I've done some new ones that we're going to put around to-morrow. If someone has got him, they'll have to take him out and about sometime ? and then he might be recognised. Just feeling a bit downhearted now,I wish there was something more I could be doing. God knows how Helen must be feeling.

NEW UPDATE FROM JOAN
Hi Dawn, got an e-mail from Helen to-day to say she'd had a phone call from someone who'd seen Rolo on the 14th Jan. in Victoria Road just three roads away from where they live. So this would have been six days after he went missing. The woman said he followed her for a bit, looking terrified, but the woman didn't encourage him as she was a bit put off by his size.Helen is upset that the person didn't contact the dog warden at the time, but she did get in touch with Helen after seeing the poster I put in the pet shop in Borough Road, so I suppose that's something. It's such a shame the sighting was ten days ago !!Been out postering Mersey Park , Victoria Park also Bebington and New Ferry areas to-day. Think I will concentrate on streets around and about now, after all, he might still be closer to home than we first thought! Joan x
Any suggestions what we can do? I have suggested walking their other dog around the roads to try and lay his scent back home (Rolo went everywhere by car so probs doesnt know the local area well).
Fingers crossed we can reunite this boy with his very worried owner x

ROLO HAS BEEN SIGHTED AGAIN!!!By an RSPCA worker. Helen his owner had a call from the administrator for North West Dog Lost site who has said RSPCA helper has seen him again by the tip, running up towards the Poole Inn pub but by the time she had turned around he was gone!!! His owner is going up first thing in the morning with her other dog. I will try and get up there myself at some point. The pool inn pub is marked 'A' and the tip is just down the wallasey bridge road maps.google.co.uk/maps?sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&rlz=1T4HPEA_en-GBGB291GB291&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=The+Pool+Inn+Poulton+Bridge+Road+Wallasey&fb=1&split=1&gl=uk&cid=0,0,16357427309133208658&sa=X&oi=local_result&resnum=1&ct=image I am so pleased we finally have a definate sighting and somewhere to focus the search! This is a simular location to where he had been spotted on the day he went missing!! Scary how quick dogs revert to their wild natural state though isnt it!! Previously Rolo was an outgoing friendly chap with people and food obssessed! Please can every one send come home Rolo thoughts please!!
