My little jackrussell cross has started weeing on my entrance mat (which is fixed in) and i don 't know why. I known it's not my greys because of the size of the stain. I;ve cleaned it up............bought some of that 'Get off' spray stuff, but nothing works. He just keeps doing it. What can i do to stop him?? He has always been a very clean little boy, and is healthy in every other way. He is only five years old, and i've had him two years since my mum passed away.

Hi, Is it a full wee or just a bit? have you had a sample tested to be sure he hasn't got an infection? My little girl has had drippy problems for years and has medication which controls it although her problem is a female/spaying thing we think. It sounds as if he can't hold it if he's always using the mat, Trix is always sick etc by the door as she tries to get out. That Get off stuff is pointless, River always wees over it outside , better to wash it with bio detergent, cheaper too it will get rid of the residual smell that we can't smell but dogs can so that should help deter him. Is he weeing normally when out? and has anything changed at home or in your routine? If you haven't already I would def take him and sample to the vets.

When we're out, he trys to wee as high as my greys......cocking his leg so high he almost topples over.......he's quite dominant, and i'm always having a power struggle with him. He bullies big louie, but respects Krissi. I'll use the bio stuff.......where do i get that? i'll take him to the vet,but i know they won't find anything wrong with him. Thankyou so much for answering my querie..............i really needed some advice, thanks for your help!! x

River is 100% reliable but he has had an infection a couple of times and then had accidents. can you try sniffing near his wee sometimes I can tell by the changed smell, it gets stronger. Sorry, bio detergent, just normal wash powder but must be biological not non bio. I often buy whatever's cheapest for clearing up after dogs. Good to use outside if you have any hard surfaces they wee on, just be sure to rinse it off well, I worry that it's not good on paws if not. I assume you're using the NILIF for his desire to be dominant? My little girl is the boss of these 3 hounds, funny aren't they. She just silently bares her teefs at them to bring them into line ;D Vicky x

Yes..............i'm using NILIF .....now......hope it works! He's fine with me, he's very obedient, just typically terrier.....barking, aggressive, guarding..............all the things our greys are not! I'll smell his wee..........i don't think i smells any stronger, but i'll take him to the docs. Thanks for your advice! xx
