Can someone please tell me which anesthetic(s) should be used for sighthounds?
I did ask the vet what would be used and she said Pro- something. I can't quite remember what she said but I'll recognise it if I see it!

It was Propofol - thank you I knew I should ask - I just didn't know what the right answer was

That's interesting - I had a vet a while ago who was great with greyhounds and told me he used a specific anesthetic for greyhounds, since then I haven't felt so sure about the vets in my local practice who come and go. I have had an experience in the past of one of my dogs taking far too long to come around which was very worrying. Some vets just won't accept that GREYHOUNDS ARE DIFFERENT!
