A friend of mine - her dog does this. She bandages the paw, but not sure what with. It must be quite sturdy as I've seen the dog chewing at the bandage but she doesn't seem to be able to get it off. She also gets little dog, waterproof boots in a neoprene type material and puts them on the dog's feet for walks as her paws get sore.

Bob is chewing various parts of his body at present - not sure if it an allergy (have put him on Arden Grange Sensitive, just in case) or if it nerves as fireworks have started. Anyway, twice a day I have wash the affected areas with Hibiscrub and apply Fuciderm gel, then I put a Melolin wound dressing pad on - wrap with Soffban padding then bandage with Co-Flex. Co-Flex bandages stay on quite well but you have to be careful to get it right - too tight and their legs swell up and too loose and they can get it off. If you have a boot that would be great but if you need to take her out - wrap a plastic bag around then bandage around the top. Sorry you are not in Surrey or I could lend you some stuff. If you can't get it bandaged you will have to stay with her till she falls asleep tonight! Good Luck!
