Mattie and I have been together for six months now, but he has suddenly started whinging, not cold, not hungry, has a gallop virtually every day (unless cows are in the field) otherwise brisk walks, he driving me potty - is this the norm?

When does he whinge, is there a particular timing to his whinging? I have a whinger called Pixie, she starts at 05:30 when she thinks we should be waking up & it generally continues until 21:00 when she goes to bed for the night Mainly I think it is because she is a real stickler for a schedule & if anything is not on time we know about it, her daily walks, food etc. But also I think it is because she is a real diva so if she wants to get on a bed & it is occupied she hovers & whinges, if she wants fuss she whinges, if she wants to get in the car she whinges, she whinges on walks when she sees other dogs, cats, humans... Does any of that sound familiar??

I always have a battle with the dogs about feeding/walking times when the clocks go back. It really seems to throw them as they do like their routines ;D

I have two whingers Otis, who just seems happy to do pointless whinging and whistling down his nose for no apparent reason, and Matilda, who is worse, because she thinks I can understand and when I don't do what ever it is she wants, the whinging gets more and more frantic and annoyed!

Nelly whinges when I'm on the computer - I've tried all sorts of things and now when it escalates to barking I shut her in the sitting room so she can't see me and then she stops!

I just tire mine out with walks so they are too exhausted to whine!! Trouble is then I am disturbed by all the snoring. ;D
