Hi,
We're hopefully getting our first greyhound shortly and I was thinking of investing in a crate. Mainly to be used as a bed/safe corner for her with the soor open. The idea been that my 7yo will be less likely to go a cuddle her when sleeping as I think a crate may make the dog more "off limits". I also thought it might be useful in the early days when introducing the dog and cat! So what size should I get, we're getting a bitch so she's smaller than some of the huge boys I've seen!

I'd go for a 48" crate, plenty of room then no matter what size greyhound you get ;D
Sue
ETA. I think there are some good buys on ebay for crates.

I'd go for as big as you can accomdate ie) a 48" would be great. What your looking for is enough space for your grey to be able to stand up an turn round at the minmum. I see that you have a cat I would also invest in a dog/baby gate from Argos too so if needed the Cat can bolt to saftey upstairs and the dog can't follow. A crate is a great investment and it also means your all set up for the inveitable second hound. I cover mine up with a throw over when I don't want it on show and can't be bothered to pack it away.

Just posted on your introductions thread before seeing this. I think a crate is a very good idea . As said above 48 " will give her plenty room to settle/stretch and have lots of lovely things around her to make her feel at home ;D Good luck. Mx
